An Article From Jon Benson, We all know him, right?????

3 quick questions:

1. Are you a guy or do you know one close to you over the age of 35?

2. Have you or he looked at your/his bare chest lately?

3. If so… did you see them?…The dreaded….

“Manboobs”?

Obviously if you are female this is not an issue. But for us men, “gynaecomastia”, often jokingly referred to as manboobs (we can thank “Seinfeld” for that) is anything but funny.

From this point on, I’ll refer to it as “MB” if that’s okay by you.

MB is not an age thing. It can occur at almost any time in life. However, for those of us over 35, it is more common.

This is just one of the many symptoms of “andropause”, or “male menopause.”

When you age your testosterone levels decline…and more than that the testosterone gets “weaker” due to an imbalance between it and estrogen.

When you combine that with our modernized “estrogen-rich” environment that Dr. Holly Lucille frequently lectures on, you have a problem.

A big MB problem.

MB is associated with lack of drive (you know what I’m talking about guys) and excess bellyfat due to the estrogen.

Even more serious: Excess estrogen has been positively linked to prostate cancer.

Yep. MBs are not so funny after all.

Check It Out Here <— no more MBs!

Check out Dr. Lucille’s NaturaPause Audios. There is an entire audio dedicated to male menopause and natural solutions that really work.

Most do not work worth a darn.

Hers does.

Check It Out Here <— no more MBs!

As awareness of apnea mounts, suspected sufferers are spending their nights under an infrared camera’s watchful eye in hundreds of so-called “sleep labs” across America, sensors dotting their skin and scalp.

Eleven o’clock is “lights out.” At 11:02 sharp, Navarro yawns. A needle swings wildly on a monitor humming softly in the next room. At 11:10 p.m., Navarro turns onto his left side, and a half-dozen needles jerk in response.

This night will be like no other for Navarro, a 32-year-old computer programmer. For the next seven hours, his every breath, movement and heartbeat will be recorded as he spends the night in a sleep disorders laboratory.

He is here because doctors think he suffers from sleep apnea, a disorder marked by loud snoring and interrupted breathing. Once considered relatively obscure, sleep apnea is stirring increased concern among physicians because it can cause severe daytime fatigue, high blood pressure, stroke and heart problems; serious cases can be life-threatening.

A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine reported that sleep apnea is more common than once believed. The study found that 9% of women and 24% of men had sleep-disordered breathing; 2% of women and 4% of men in the middle-aged work force met the criteria for sleep apnea. That would make undiagnosed sleep apnea a major public health burden.

Depending on the severity of the apnea, treatment can include use of a night time face mask or even surgery. There’s a less high-tech approach for those who snore or suffer apnea only while on their backs: sewing a tennis ball in the back of their pajamas tops so they will sleep on their sides instead.

Not surprisingly, roommates and spouses are often the first to spot potential apnea victims. Navarro is a longtime snorer; he can remember his college roommates waking him to request that he tone it down. His wife, Christine, grew worried when she noticed that he sometimes stopped breathing briefly during the night. She learned about sleep apnea from her doctor and urged her husband to get tested.

A video screen shows Navarro dozing peacefully. Pink computer paper moves steadily through the polysomnograph, a machine with 12 needles that records everything from his eye movements to heart contractions.

All night, monitors will record the needles’ black tracks, paying special attention to those measuring Navarro’s breathing. Sleep apnea victims have been known to stop breathing hundreds of times each night.

Dear Readers,

I just received this article from Jon Benson and wanted to share it with you.

It really opened my eyes to what is possible.

Ruth

———————–

How To Gain Muscle And Burn Bodyfat At The Same Time

by Jon Benson

What is your “big dream?”

I have two:

– To make an impact on the lives of over 10M people before I die;

– To have a family that’s mobile so I can live in many places.

Not bad, right?

Article Continued Here – < — click

Want to know a “third” dream of mine? One that I saw become a reality a few years ago?

To gain muscle AND burn bodyfat all at the same time.

It’s like a pipe-dream that somehow worked its way through the pipes and into my gym.

It is not easy, granted, but you can do it.

Almost anyone can do it.

You just have to train and eat in a very specific way.

Listen: You do NOT want to just “burn bodyfat” or god-forbid “lose-weight”… that will not give you the body you want.

You absolutely MUST shape your muscles, tighten and tone, and burn bodyfat.

And you can do it at the same time.

Most pros disagree with me. They think it is metabolically impossible to gain muscle while in a state of low-calorie dieting.

They are wrong.

Here’s an article I wrote on this topic. I hope you enjoy it.

To save you time, I put a link to the online complete version of the article below…

I remember a friendly argument with my co-author of Fit Over 40 Tom Venuto. It all started when I told Tom how I was eating and training for my last peak. A peak is where you lower your bodyfat and try to maintain as much muscle mass as possible.

“There’s just no way I could ever get in shape eating and training like that,” says Tom. “Sure you could man…what are you, a mutant?” Tom fires back, then me, then Tom….and so it goes. (I really didn’t call Tom a mutant. That was creative liberty.)

So why are so many fitness pros like Tom freaked out about my training and nutrition plan? Simple: I claim it burns fat while building muscle at the same time. Every time I read an article by some doctor or expert claiming it’s “biologically impossible” to gain lean muscle mass on a hypocaloric diet (a diet low in calories) I just laugh.

I do more than make claims–I have proved this to be true many times. I’ve had my bodyfat hydrostatically measured during several peaks. In all but one I showed an increase of muscle mass and a decrease of bodyfat during a 12-16 week period. The one time I didn’t show an increase in muscle mass when was I was training the most in the gym. That may not make sense right now, but it will in a moment.

a single calorie.

Jon Benson Says: “I never count calories. As in EVER. I do not need to with my dietary program.

If you have “Every Other Day Diet” go to page 80. This is the version of EODD I follow that allows me to never have to count a calorie again. If you do not have it you can get it at the Everty Other Day Diet Extreme link.

“Who Else Wants To ==>> Lower Cholesterol Naturally Without Costly Drug Prescriptions And Without Suffering Through The Miserable Side Effects Of Statin Drugs?”

Lower Cholesterol Naturally

Guest Blogger: One of the most common myths surrounding cholesterol is that each and every food that contains high fatty content will affect your health adversely. However, not all dietary fats are the same and in fact, in this regard you will need to distinguish between saturated fatty and non-saturated fatty acids. In addition, there are mono-saturated fatty acids to contend with as well.

There aucuns doubts the fact that the saturated fatty-acids will cause with increase in grease in the blood of a person and add to the bad cholesterol or LDL (low density lipoproteins). On the other hand poly-unsaturated and mono-saturated fatty acids have the opposite effect of the fact they reduce grease in the blood of a person and moreover they decrease bad cholesterol as well.

Not Good For Your Body

Another common myth is that cholesterol is not good for your body; however, it is (and, essence) an ingredient required which continues the body of a person to function normally and one also finds it in membranes of the alive cells. Cholesterol also helps to keep out dangerous chemicals and it also does not allow cell components to leave the cells; in addition, it also is vital to formation of a person’s sex hormones as well as bile salts.

The majority of the people also believe in an erroneous way that by consuming the vitamins E and C they can lower the level of cholesterol in their bodies. However, this is not true and nor is there any evidence that supports such a way of thinking. The myth that it is the sole reason why plaque builds up in a person’s arteries is false and needs to be debunked.

In fact, the plate is generally caused because of a known amino-acid under the name of homocyst?ine which however made adhere cholesterol molecules to him what alternatively attracts more these molecules and thus, plate is formed.

It is also commonly believed that high levels of cholesterol will make a person feel sick. In fact, there are no true symptom or obvious sign to state a person that the levels of cholesterol in their body are high side. The only way to determine whether or not such levels are high is through having a lipid profile taken.

It is also wrong to believe that high cholesterol levels are only found in the blood of old people. However, keeping a close check on these levels is vital to enjoying safe and good health. Our lives today are filled with a lot more pressure than was the case only a few decades ago and this is causing even young adults to suffer from elevated levels of cholesterol in their blood. Keeping tabs on the amount of cholesterol present in your blood is a good means of controlling the situation and ensuring good health.
