Are you sleeping with one eye open?
“What If a Good Night’s Sleep Was Only a Few Hours Away – Without Pills?”
1 – Do breathing exercises (Try Thai Chi) It is an easy, effective way of improving your breathing.
2 – Try to create a bedtime system, a ritual. Whatever relaxes you before bed…do it. Like a t.v. show, or the computer. Make sure it’s not a show or chat that excites or upsets you though.
3 - Try to stick to a schedule if at all possible. Go to bed and get up at the same time. It helps your body’s internal timing.
4 – Try to have an environmentally friendly sleeping space. Some people’s bedrooms are so messy and cluttered it’s no wonder their “brain” can’t relax going to sleep in that mess. Make you sleeping area a calm area.
5 - Do your exercises!
6 – Try to keep a comfortable lighting and temperature in your sleeping space. Make it as comfortable as possible.
7 - Experiment with different things, like aromatherapy etc.
8 – Try not to take naps after 4 p.m.
9 – Got a lot of issues on your mind? Try talking it out with someone you can trust, but not someone who will escalate your problems…a priest, your doctor, a good friend…
Sleep is so important. Try to find out how many straight hours of sleep YOU need to have a restful day. And make it an importance in your life to get that rest!
