We probably all know someone who is battling that addiction demon. I stopped smoking (2 packs day) about 10-12 years ago. I stopped cold turkey. Ever since then I have a high respect for anyone who takes the challenge to quit their substance or alcohol addiction.

Many of us know how hard it is to stop smoking. I can only imagine how difficult it is to stop any other type of substance addiction. No judgments from me.

So please, if you have a problem with any kind of addiction never ever stop trying to quit. You will never be successful if you stop trying.

And, stick to those who support your steps for improvement, get rid of “friends” who tie you to your addiction and keep you mired down.
